FIELD TRIP – FARMING EXPERIENCE

    Ba Vi is a rural, mountainous area west of the bustling city of Hanoi – perfect destination for a school trip. The stunning natural scenery combined with friendly locals makes Ba Vi a truly authentic experience. Escape the noise and crowds of the city, and immerse yourself in rural life.

ITINERARY

• Duration: 01 day
• Location:  Moc village, Ba Vi district, Ha Noi (About 68km from centre Hanoi city, about 1.5 hours by car)

Highlight:

• Visiting local workshops in the village
• Cycling across the rice field and villages
• Traditional Foot Soak with herbs following the traditional recipes of Muong ethnic minority

08:00 – Pick up at your school.

09:30 – Arrive to Ri village and visit Chinh’s family who will welcome you with fresh mint lemon juice. All ingredients are freshly picked from her own garden. Later, follow Chinh to her farm and experience yourselves the labourous work of farmers. Eye-witness, hands-on experience and have a better understanding of traditional agriculture.

11:00 – Wrap up your farming trip by a comfortable feet soak in warm water with herbs, following the traditional recipes of Muong ethnic minority. This will relay you (and your feet!) after touring on the field.

11:30 – Have a ten-minute drive to visit another family in Moc village where the group will enjoy lunch with tasty food made by host Chin.

13:15 – Stroll or cycle (optional) around the village and visit some local families to understand rural lifestyle and learn how tofu, conical hat and other local products are made.

15:00 – Bid farewell to the locals and drive back to your school.
